Description Arcane Addiction is an industrial rock/metal type project that i started in april 2004. since those 2 years have gone by, i've started putting together the first album which currently is on hold until a few things on my end are fixed. i've had about 10 gigs under this name and i've done all shows on my own with the exception of new years eve 2004, which an ex-member of now guested with me for a cover song which people gave bad feedback on (because the guest vocalist didn't properly execute the lyrics)
the idea of the full band is 1 vocalist, 2 guitarists (possible back-up vocals on one or both), 1 bassist, and a drummer who can fly on the skins like walls of an insane asylum, and chill like the dudes from half baked after they toke a bowl.

bear in mind, the album is not complete, but it will be by this fall, and i currently have a gig set up for august 19th with Debris, Pain Theory, and Wednesday 13 (ex-Murderdolls) at The Gravity Room (as seen on tour date schedule section on myspace page)
i've been writing all the music and doing all vocals. to execute the synthesizers and other tracks, either i'd have to add on a keyboard player that can run 3 tiers and have an ADAT/Sampler, or run purely off an ADAT/Sampler deck.
i'm career-oriented with this, you should be too. i smoke cigarettes and drink beer/booze, and have no problem with people smoking weed, however, i'd prefer that weed be home-based, and not for practice or for live shows. being a bit buzzed is okay. i'd like to take this to the next level and look professional.
my influences mainly are nine inch nails, slipknot, korn, powerman 5000, marilyn manson, mudvayne, and garbage.
the ability to play a 7-string is recommended. the ability to play a 5-string bass is required.
listen to the samples to get an idea of what i've got going on. my goal is to have the album completed by this fall, and invest time to building more equipment up and maybe after another handful of shows shop to a few indie level labels... depends on where i'm at then i guess. |
