TAYLOR is a Los Angeles rock and soul artist by way of Austin, Texas. TAYLOR is the youngest son of rythm and blues STAX icon Johnnie Taylor ("Who's Makin' Love?", "Disco Lady"). TAYLOR has taken his father's influence and bred it with his own musical vision to create a unique sound. Taylor has created his sound by digging within himself, playing live shows of his original music, and by playing with other great artists.

TAYLOR is a Los Angeles rock and soul artist by way of Austin, Texas. TAYLOR is the youngest son of rythm and blues STAX icon Johnnie Taylor ("Who's Makin' Love?", "Disco Lady"). TAYLOR has taken his father's influence and bred it with his own musical vision to create a unique sound. Taylor has created his sound by digging within himself, playing live shows of his original music, and by playing with other great artists. Primarily, Taylor spent much of of his time in LA travelling the world with Interscope artist Robin Thicke in support of his debut album A BEAUTIFUL WORLD. TAYLOR played shows across the U.S. with Robin as well as other major label artists. He has appeared on The Carson Daly Show, The Ellen Degeneres Show, Soul Train, Top of the Pops (Amsterdam, Milan), MTV Italy, The Sharon Osbourne Show, and more. TAYLOR has also played shows in Tokyo, Osaka, Munich, Cologne, Zurich & Vienna. In 2004, TAYLOR released the full length album FIRE POETS. POETS is a stylishly diverse collection of rock/pop/soul songs that are varied in their musical influencs (from raggae, to latin, to funk, to straight rock), but who's essence is all TAYLOR.

He spent the last half of 2005 giging all over LA including a monthly residency at The Knitting Factory. TAYLOR spent all of 2006 writing, recording, and producing brand new songs for the forthcoming cd YOU'RE MY GIRL. "This new record will have a more up tempo tone to it than the last one," TAYLOR says. " and a little harder, funkier edge." He will continue to play shows in Los Angeles and support his new cd YOU'RE MY GIRL in the spring of 2007.
